In the simplest of terms ‘Affiliate Marketing’ is the selling of products/ services on behalf of a retailer/ manufacturer. A commission from the sales depend on what your agreement with the retailer/ manufacturer was. As such, you can earn very little or a lot from the sales that result from your adverts.

- Visit the website of the retailer whose products you want advertise on your platforms
- Find the tab for registering as an affiliate. In most instances, it will be indicated at the top or the bottom of the website as “Become an Affiliate” or some other related words.
- Register with your details – take caution to provide the required information to the best of your knowledge to increase your chances of you getting accepted as an affiliate of your potential retailer’s products/ services.
- Wait for the approval of your application. Some companies/ retailers process the applications in a matter of hours whereas others will take several days. Be patient.
- You receive an approval email as an affiliate. Login to your affiliate account and explore the features.
